Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue patta in S.No.147/2, New S.No.223/18, situated at Y.Othakadai Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner to the respondent on 03.06.2019 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue patta in S.No.147/2, New S.No.223/18, situated at Y.Othakadai Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner to the respondent on 03.06.2019, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.R.Jenifer Bibin, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 3.By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admissions stage itself. 4.The petitioner, in order to get patta for the land at Survey No. 147/2, New S.No.223/18, situated at Y.Othakadai Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, has made a representation dated 03.06.2019. All that the petitioner wants that if the said representation is directed to be considered by the respondent within https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied. 5.Heard Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent, who would submit that the said representation of the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any, within a time frame.

6.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following directions:- "that the respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.06.2019 and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any, by issuing a separate notice to them and pass final order thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." No costs.
