This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to modify the UDR entries made in respect of the petitioner's land comprising in S.No.23/2B2, situated at Managiri Pit I Village, Madurai North Taluk, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2017.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The case of the petitioner is that she has purchased the land, comprising in S.No.23/2B2, situated at Managiri Pit I Village,
Madurai North Taluk, by virtue of two sale deeds dated 04.05.2005 and 23.06.2006 and patta for the same, stands in the name of the petitioner. While so, UDR classification has been made, in which, the petitioner's land has been classified as a public road. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation dated 17.05.2017 to the first respondent to modify the UDR entries made in respect of the petitioner's land. The first respondent, in turn, forwarded the same to the second respondent for taking appropriate action in this regard. But, till date, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above stated prayer.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that if reasonable time is granted to the respondents, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed.
5.In view of the said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties.
6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
