Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of passport.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the criminal case instituted against the petitioner has culminated in a final report and the same has already been taken on file in C.C.No.176 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam. Hence, the petitioner has to necessarily move the jurisdictional criminal court for relief. As and when the petitioner files such an application before the trial Magistrate, the same will be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks thereafter. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.
