Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 4.10.2017 for enhancement of compensation for the land acquired, within the stipulated time.

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2017, seeking for enhancement of compensation for the acquired land of the petitioner.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

properties, mentioned in the petition and majority portion of the properties have been acquired by the Government for laying National Highways, for which, compensation has also been fixed by the second respondent. Since the compensation fixed by the respondents is very meagre, the petitioner has given a representation dated 04.10.2017 to the respondents, seeking enhancement of compensation in respect of the acquired lands.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that if reasonable time is granted to the respondents, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed.
5.In view of the said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
