O R D E R

The writ petitioner is working as a Village Administrative Officer. He was issued with a charge memo dated 24.10.2011. A criminal case was also registered against him. The same was quashed by this Court on 07.09.2017 in Crl.OP(MD)No.11815 of 2017. The writ petitioner has to reach the superannuation on 31.01.2018. He therefore filed the present writ petition for speedy disposal of the disciplinary action taken against him vide charge memo dated 24.10.2011.

proceedings all these years. At the same time, this Court cannot lose sight of the fact that the writ petitioner has moved this Court literally at the last moment. The second respondent has issued the impugned charge memo in question.

3.The learned counsel on either side submitted that it is the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur Range, Madurai District who has to pass final orders. This Court directs that the second respondent shall endeavour to dispose of the disciplinary action initiated against the writ petitioner on or before 31.01.2018. 4.This writ petition stands allowed accordingly.
