O R D E R

This Writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of "Adal Padal" on 16.01.2018 night at Sri Pandiamuniasami Thirukovil, at Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation, dated 19.12.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ respondents.

3. Though the prayer in this Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction to the respondents, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.12.2017.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner before this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- " The second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.12.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 03.01.2018. "

5. With the above direction, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
