For Petitioner : Mr.B.S.Meltiue For Respondents : Mrs.S.Srimathy Special Government Pleader (in all WPs) COMMON ORDER W.P(MD)No.8801 of 2017 has been filed seeking to quash the impugned order passed by the second respondent dated 07.04.2017 and consequently to direct the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the promotion panel to the post of Middle School Headmaster in the light of various Government Orders. W.P(MD)No.9057 of 2018 has been filed seeking to quash G.O.Ms.No.166, School Education Department, dated 07.06.1999. A consequential direction has also been sought to the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the promotion panel to the post of Middle School Headmaster in the light of various Government Orders.

W.P(MD) Nos.23694 & 23695, 21342, 23186, 23233 of 2017, 7937, 7938 of 2018, 7969 to 7971, 8924 and 12947 of 2018 have been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to include the names of the petitioners in the promotion panel of the years mentioned in

the respective writ petitions to the post of Middle School Headmaster and consequently direct the respondents to promote them to the said post in the light of various Government Orders. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Though the prayer in the writ petitions is larger in nature, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, now confines the same to the extent of seeking a direction to the respondents for early disposal of the petitioners' respective representations, after affording an opportunity of hearing to them. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that Rules are yet to be amended and the process is going on.

5.In view of the above submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 11.12.2017, 11.12.2017, 17.10.2016, 21.07.2017, 30.11.2017, 06.02.2017, 02.03.2018, 02.03.2018, 10.01.2018, 07.02.2018 and 27.12.2017 respectively and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

6.The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
