Prayer in CRL OP(MD)No.5217 OF 2025:- Criminal Original petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS to direct the Special Court for Trial Additional III District Court for PCR Act Cases, Madurai to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of surrender in Crime No. 6/2025 on the file of the 2nd Respondent Police. ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.T. Lenin Kumar, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.A.S. Abul Kalaam Azad Govt.Advocate(Crl Side),for R1 & R2, this Court made the following order:
This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed seeking extension of time granted in Crl.OP(MD) No.5217 of 2025, dated 21.03.2025, to surrender before the Special Court.
2.While ordering Crl.OP(MD) No.5217 of 2025, this Court, directed the petitioner to surrender before the concerned jurisdictional Court, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. 2/5
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to his health issues, there is some delay in getting the order copy and therefore, he could not surrender before the Special Court. Hence, he seeks extension of time. 4.In view of the above, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and a further period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, is granted to the petitioner to surrender before the Special Court.
