ORDER

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to sanction old age pension under Indira Gandhi National Age Old Pension Scheme (IGNAOPS) in the light of the representation given by the petitioner dated 31.12.2015. 2.Heard Mr.J.David Ganesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.Gunaseelanmuthiah learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, she has submitted a representation dated 31.12.2015 seeking old age pension as per G.O.Ms.No.26, dated 17.04.2015 before the respondent. Since no order has been passed so far, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4.Considering the fact that the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 31.12.2015 is pending from 2015, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.12.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
