The prayer in this Writ petition is that the respondent should not take possession of the petition mentioned property without initiating acquisition proceedings under the relevant statute.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was submitted by the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents that the acquisition proceedings have since been initiated. Therefore, nothing survives for further consideration. The rights of the rival claimants are left open.
