By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent.
3. According to the petitioner, the subject mentioned property belongs to him and neither civil suit nor rival claim, whatsoever, is pending in respect of the same and as such, he has submitted several representations, seeking Patta in his name. Since the said representations has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the latest representation of the petitioner dated 06.12.2017, is disposed of, by the respondent, on merits and within a stipulated time limit.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief sought
for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.12.2017, on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
