PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate legal action and to complete the process of the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2019 besides correcting the entries made in the death register controlled by the 3rd respondent's subordinate officer's and other relevant Government records as well as taking departmental and penal action against the erring Government officials and the respondents 9 to 12 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner wants a direction by way of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate legal action and complete the process of the representation made by him dated 20.03.2019 while correcting the entries made in the register maintained by the respondent No.3.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submitted that the needful has been done by the communication sent by the Deputy Director Health Services to the Executive Officer, Town Panchayat, Sholavandan in R.No.8226/A6/2020 dated 04.01.2021. Thereafter, appropriate entries have been made by cancelling the recording of the death, as could be seen from the proceedings of the Special Officer, Sholavandan, Selection Grade Panchayat, namely, respondent No.7 in Na.Ka.NO.73/2020 dated 08.01.2021, pursuant to the order passed by the Director of Pubic Health dated 30.12.2020.

3. In such view of the matter, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. If the private respondents have any grievance, they can always work out their remedy in the manner known to law. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
