ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction, directing the second respondent to provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner and his wife namely Anjalai, based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2018.

2. It is seen from the records that the petitioner had married the third respondent's daughter. It was a love marriage and it was opposed by the third respondent and his wife. It is alleged that the petitioner is facing a life threat from the third respondent and therefore, the petitioner and his wife are forced to live in the petitioner's friends house.

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to call all the parties and make an enquiry based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 29.08.2018. Since the daughter of the third respondent has already married the petitioner and the petitioner and his wife are majors, the third respondent should not interfere with their life. If the second respondent Police, in spite of advise to the third respondent, finds that the third respondent continues to disturb https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner and his wife, he shall take appropriate action in accordance with law.

4. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
