..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to issue patta in respect of the property comprised in Survey No. (*)224/1 which is natham vacant land situated at Jambulingapuram Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering petitioners representation dated 09.10.2017 within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The case of the petitioners is that they are in possession and enjoyment of the subject land for more than sixty years. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners states that they are eligible to get free house site patta. The lands are natham. The petitioners have given a representation dated 09.10.2017 in this regard.

4.The second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners and forward the same to the first respondent for passing appropriate orders. The second respondent shall complete the exercise on or before 31.03.2018. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
