ORDER

Seeking for a direction to the respondents to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing on both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that her husband was working as a Police Constable in the respondent department and after his demise, she made an application, dated 17.11.2005, to the respondents for compassionate appointment. However, till date the respondents have not passed any order on her application, keeping her name in the waiting list for a long period. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Upon instructions, the fourth respondent filed a counter affidavit, wherein, it has been stated that the petitioner's name has been included in the waiting list and, as and when vacancies arise, she will be provided with employment.
