This petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and her relatives about the joint family prayer worship in her house No.24/60-1 of Kaliyakkavilai Town Panchayat, in Kanyakumari District. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that due to corona lock down, the petitioner and her relatives are not able to attend the regular church prayer. The petitioner and her relatives are gathered in her house for a joint Christian Prayer. The second respondent had entered the petitioner's house and tried to stop the Joint Family Prayer Worship and hence, she had given a complaint to the respondent police.
4.When the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner had conducted a prayer meeting inside her residence and the neighbouring person had given a complaint before the respondent police. C rl.O.P.(MD)No.12800 of 2020 submit that if the petitioner conducts prayer inside her house, the respondent police will not interfere with the prayer and there is no harassment as claimed by the petitioner.
