ORDER
The petitioner seeks the expeditious disposal of the Revision Petition filed on 30.10.2012 before the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai.
2. The petitioner states that he purchased a property of an extent of 4360 Square foot at Survey No.182/3B1 Kalayarkovil Village, Sivagangai Taluk under a registered sale deed bearing Document No.249/2011. Although the total extent of property 1/3
purchased by him is 4360 Square foot, it is stated that the patta wrongly indicates the extent as 3909 Square foot. In order to rectify this discrepancy, it is stated that a Revision Petition was filed on 30.10.2012 before the District Revenue Officer. Although such petition was forwarded to the third respondent on 26.11.2012 for purposes of conducting a survey and reporting thereon, it is stated that no such action in such regard has been taken. The present Writ Petition is filed in the said facts and circumstances.
3. Mr.K.S.Selva Ganesan, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the District Revenue Officer may be directed to consider and dispose of the Revision Petition on merits within a reasonable time frame.
4. The petitioner has enclosed the registered sale deed, patta and the Revision Petition filed before the second respondent herein. As such, the petitioner is entitled to the direction prayed for herein.
5. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's Revision Petition dated 30.10.2012 and dispose of the same by a reasoned order within a period of three
(3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other person who would be affected by the outcome thereof.
5. W.P.(MD).No.15692 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
