2.The petitioner is the first accused in Crime No.786 of 2017 on the file of the first respondent for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 477A, 406, 409, 120B of IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2017, so far no progress is made in the investigation and no final report has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that so far 7 witnesses have been examined.

4.Considering the oldness of the crime, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation process within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file the final report before the concerned Court. 5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
