ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Construction of RO water plant is a policy decision to be taken by the Government at the administrative level. High Court, in exercise of the power of judicial review, cannot direct the Government to install such plants at the choice of the petitioner or any other persons. It is for the Government to choose the area, place, time frame etc., and install RO water plant for the benefit of the people at large. Therefore, the relief as such sought for cannot be considered by this Court in the present Public Interest Litigation. However, it is needless to state that the State has to provide infrastructural facilities to the people for their peaceful living in a particular locality.

2.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
