PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to regularize the petitioner's service on basis of Hon'ble Justice V.Khalids (Former Justice of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India) guidelines for regularization of appointment of workers by the selection committee of TANGEDCO as per the representation dated on 20.01.2022 made by the petitioner.

Heard Ms.Gandiammal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Malini, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition to consider the representation dated 20.01.2022 given to the respondents seeking 2/6
regularisation of his services in pursuant to the recommendation made by the Hon'ble Justice V.Kalid's Committee.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was worked as Casual Labour in Boiler Maintenance Division from 1988 to 1991 at the second respondent's office. But the petitioner's job was not regularised so far. The petitioner has approached the respondents and made request to regularise his service in pursuant to the recommendation made by the Hon'ble Justice V.Kalid's Committee. Since the said representation was not considered by the respondents so far, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the first respondent within a time frame fixed by this Court.
5. In the light of the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of and the first respondent herein is directed to consider the 3/6
petitioner's representation dated on 20.01.2022 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the first respondent to consider the same on its own merits. No costs.
