PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and her family members based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 14.07.2022.

ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioners and their family members, based on the second petitioner's representation, dated 14.07.2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that due to previous enmity, the private respondent and others assaulted the first petitioner and caused fracture. Hence the first petitioner lodged a complaint, for the same, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.212 of 2022, for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 324, 307, 506(2) and 379 IPC. Thereafter, the private respondent also lodged a complaint against the petitioners. Based 2/4

on that, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.213 of 2022, for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(2) IPC. Now, both the cases are pending. In such circumstances, the petitioners were threatened by the private respondent. Therefore, the second petitioner gave a representation, dated 14.07.2022, seeking police protection.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that so far, the respondent police has not received any representation from the petitioners. 4.Therefore, on receiving the said representation, dated 14.07.2022, the third respondent is directed to consider it and take suitable action on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said representation. 5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of. 26.07.2022 Internet:Yes Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non speaking order lr 3/4
