Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from granting permission to any persons or organization to conduct any event or festival in grand manner in and around Arunthathiyar Colony, Irulappapuram, Agastheeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District which would harm the public tranquility within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner directing the respondents not to grant any permission to any persons or organization to conduct any event or festival in grand manner in and around Arunthathiyar Colony, Irulappapuram, Agastheeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that from 2013 onwards, so many communal clashes were aroused between the Arunthathiyar Community and other backward community people and if any permission is granted to celebrate any festival in and around Arunthathiyar Colony, Irulappapuram, Agastheeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District that would cause disturbance to the public's peace and hence, he prayed to pass appropriate order. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that after 2013, no FIR has been registered with regard to any communal clash and he further submitted that no blanket order could be passed prohibiting the respondents from granting any permission for conducting festivals. 4.Though the petitioner has asked for larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.With the above said observation, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No Costs.
