Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant subsistence allowance to the petitioner from the month of June, 2017, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2017.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was employed in the Forest Department. He was employed as Forest Ranger. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.03.2010. Earlier, he was implicated in a bribery case. He was prosecuted. Conviction and sentence has been imposed on the petitioner vide judgment dated 12.07.2017 in S.C.No.32 of 2014, on the file of the Special Court for Prevention of Corruption Cases, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District. The petitioner has filed an appeal questioning the said judgment of conviction. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.His present grievance is that he has not been paid any subsistence allowance after the judgment of conviction was rendered. The said prayer has only be stated to be rejected. 4.There is absolutely no merit in this Writ Petition. The Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
