The Writ Petitioner challenges the impugned order dated 19.12.2017 in Na.Ka.No.6612/AA1/2017 on the file of the first respondent by which the writ petitioner has been called upon to produce certain documents. One of the documents sought for is the patta in respect of the subject land. The subject land is agricultural in character. Section 5(1) of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 states that the registrant must produce the patta pass book relating to the land. It does not say that the patta pass book should stand in the name of the registrant.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner states that the petitioner would produce the relevant documents and also patta in respect of the land that still stands in the name of his vendor.

3. The writ petitioner should produce the same and subject to the completion of other formalities, the second respondent is directed to register the document presented for registration by the writ petitioner.

4. With this observation, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
