ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court that though FIR in Cr.No. 296 of 2023 was registered in the year 2023, the respondent Police has 1/4

not taken any steps to file the final report.

2. Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), who takes notice for the respondent Police, submits that the investigation in Crime No.296 of 2023 was completed and the final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai, by way of e-filing in No.C202500240 on 28.04.2025.

3. In view of the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Mere filing of the final report through e-filing is not sufficient. The respondent Police should ensure that the final report is taken on file within a reasonable time. It is not only the responsibility of the respondent Police, the trial Court is also expected to take the final report on file, without any delay.
