PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents No.3 and 4 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members life and limb on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner on 06.08.2018.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the third and fourth respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner on 06.08.2018. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the complaint has been given against the respondents 5 to 8, who were https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

involved in cheating the general public to the tune of more than Rs.3 lakhs. Subsequent to the complaint, there is a threat to the petitioner to withdraw the complaint.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that another complaint was given to the respondent police and the same has been transferred to the Commissioner of Police, Trichy.

4.In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry, calling all the parties and ensure that the respondents 5 to 8 do not continue the threat to the petitioner. The complaint which has already been given shall be investigated and immediate steps should be taken in accordance with law. 5.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
