Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Principal Secretary to Government Revenue Department Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.12.2015 regarding grant of notional promotion in the cadre of Deputy Tahsildar of the year 2006 on par with his junior Thiru.G.Chellappa and to send revised pension proposals within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner-A.S.Lakshmi was permitted to retire on reaching the age of superannuation on 31.03.2007, keeping the charges pending which were framed in 2005 for the alleged delinquency took place in 2000. However, the charges were also dropped by an order dated 20.01.2005, as a result, it is pleaded that the petitioner has been made to lose several promotional avenues in view of the pendency of the charges. Therefore, she has submitted a representation, dated 07.12.2015 to the first respondent seeking notional promotion. The same having not been disposed of, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition.

2.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
