Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay pension arrears of the petitioner from 14.01.2001 to 31.08.2015 together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date of his retirement to till the date of payment within the time.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was employed in the respondent corporation as a Driver. He went on voluntary retirement. It is stated that the petitioner's pension has now been sanctioned. But, the arrears are yet to be disbursed.

3.The third respondent is directed to disburse the pension arrears payable to the petitioner in 12 monthly installments. The first installment shall commence from 01.04.2018 onwards. The writ petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs.
