ORDER
Seeking direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.7 of 2022 on the file of the 3rd respondent to any other specialized officer not below the rank of DSP in order to conduct proper investigation and to cull out the truth in the present case.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that in view of the order passed by the 1st respondent viz., Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing (Hqrs), Chennai, the 2nd respondent has taken over the above said investigation.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that during the time of investigation he has appeared before the third respondent and handed over certain documents which was also acknowledged on 03.09.2022. He further submitted that even after the lapse of several months no further investigation has been undertaken.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that so far 2000 witnesses have been examined and according to him, investigation is going on in a proper manner. He further submitted that further 5000 witnesses yet to be examined.
5. As per the direction of the 1st respondent investigation is only under the control of 2nd respondent, there is no ground to transfer investigation. However, the concerned respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of Nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on following the due process of law.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
