Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to restore the petitioner's name in the electricity connection bearing No.05-186-016-606 to its original position by confirming the current occupation as specified in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004 after providing sufficient opportunity to the third respondent herein by considering his representation dated 21.05.2025.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent herein to restore the petitioner's name in the electricity connection bearing No.05-186-016-606 to its original position by confirming the current occupation as specified in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004 after providing sufficient opportunity to the third respondent herein by considering his representation dated 21.05.2025.
2. This writ petition is disposed of at the time of admission after dispensing with notice on the third respondent.
3. It is noticed that the service connection, which was standing in the name of the petitioner has been transferred to the third respondent by the second respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court. 2/5
4. It appears that the petitioner has also filed a suit against the third respondent in O.S.No.20 of 2019 before the District Munsif Court, Peraiyur.
5. Since the second respondent has passed the order transferring the electricity connection to the third respondent without issuing notice to the petitioner, the matter is remitted back to the second respondent to pass a fresh order after giving due notice to the petitioner and the third respondent. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
