PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to issue Patta to the Punja Lands to the petitioner and his brother in R.S.No. 46/2 and 46/6 of T.Kokkulam Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District, which is classified as Tharisu based on his Representation dated 11.05.2019.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner and his brother for the property in R.S.Nos.46/2 and 46/6 respectively situated at T.Kokkulam Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District. 2.According to the petitioner, he and his brother, namely, Subbiah, made a representation before the 2nd respondent on 11.05.2019 to transfer the patta in their name for the aforesaid property. But, on such representation no action has been taken till date. Hence, the present writ petition.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the 1st respondent is the competent authority for reclassification and for issuing patta for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.15773 of 2019 property in R.S.Nos.46/2 and 46/6 situated at T.Kokkulam Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District, since the aforesaid property has now been classified as "Tharisu". Therefore, the petitioner may approach the 1st respondent to seek his remedy. 4.In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that liberty may be given to the petitioner to approach the 1st respondent to seek his remedy in the manner known to law. 5.In agreement with the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of with such liberty. No costs.
