ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry pending before him in his file Na.Ka.No.(A1) 8004/20015 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.Heard MS.D.Geetha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional
Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioners, in order to get patta with regard to the land at S.No.143/1, which is a ryotwari land, had made an application to the respondents and in this regard, the 2nd respondent is conducting enquiry and according to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, since the enquiry has already been completed, let the 2nd respondent dispose that application on merits, within a time frame.
4.I have heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the said application, being enquired by the 2nd respondent, would be decided on merits and final order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame.
5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition, at the admission stage itself, with the following direction:
"The 2nd respondent is hereby directed to complete the enquiry and decide the issue pending on his file in Na.No. (A1)8004/20015 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
