PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No. 1125 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, who was arrested on 27.06.2021, for the offence punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Cr.No.1125 of 2021, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 110 liters of Pondicherry arrack. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. However, he is languishing in jail from 27.06.2021. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that apart from this case, the petitioner is involved in 50 cases, out of which, 37 cases have been closed and 13 cases are pending.

5. Considering the nature of offence and the antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. In the result, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
