By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the neighbour of the petitioner's property was discharging sewage water indiscriminately and that the local authorities had failed to prevent the same. In this regard, the petitioner had also submitted a representation dated 30.03.2026. However, no action has been taken thereon till date. Aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 2/5

In response, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondents 1 and 2 submitted that steps had already been taken to prevent the discharge of sewage water and that the same would be stopped. He further submitted that, since the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 30.03.2026, the same would be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
