Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to impugned order passed by the second respondent dated 06.02.2017 and quash the same as illegal, and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct "Kabadi tournament" on 18.02.2017 and 19.02.2017 in District Level at Poovanoor, Pavoorchathiram, Tirunelveli District based on petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the order dated 06.02.2017 passed by the second respondent and quash the same, by way of issuing a writ of certiorarified mandamus. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that a representation has been given to the respondents, but the second respondent has rejected the same simply on the ground that in the concerned Village, so many community people are living and therefore law and order problem would arise. The reason given in the order passed by the second respondent is not genuine and therefore the same is liable to be quashed.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed without costs and the order dated 06.02.2017 passed by the second respondent is quashed. The second respondent viz., Sub Inspector of Police, Pavoorchathiram Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to reconsider the representation alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
