O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking for a direction to the first respondent to transfer the electricity service connection to the name of the petitioner in the property situated in SF.No.172/5B with an extent of 0.36 Ares of Punja Land situate at Kottaiyur Village, Ilaiyankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. The petitioner states that the second respondent, on the basis of the earnest patta, obtained service connection in respect of the subject property. He further stating that subsequently patta was restored in the name of the petitioner and therefore submitted a representation to the first respondent to transfer the service connection to the name of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner's grievance is that the said representation has not been considered as of today.

3. Learned counsel for the first respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

4. The said submission is taken on record.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.03.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.There shall be no order as to costs.
