Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to prevent the flow of sewage into the petitioner's Patta land in Survey No.516/1 and Survey No: 516/2, situated at Illuppaiyoorani Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District and to channalise the said drainage for proper disposal within the time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to prevent the flow of sewage into his land situated at Survey Nos.516/1 and 516/2 at Illuppaiyoorani Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents, under the guise of constructing a drainage channel on the side of the road, have allowed the sewage water to be flown on the petitioner's Patta land. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has already made a representation, on 27.01.2017. Therefore, it is for the respondents to consider the said representation and take steps to look into the grievance of the petitioner, without loss of further time.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.01.2017 and take effective steps within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
