ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant annual increment to the petitioner for the period from 01.07.1999 to 30.06.2000 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.311, dated 31.12.2014.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that his representation, dated 12.09.2016 seeking to grant annual increment for the period from 01.07.1999 to 30.06.2000, in lieu of G.O.Ms.No.311, Finance (CMPC) Department, dated 31.12.2014, has not been considered so far by the respondents. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits.

5.In such view of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.09.2016 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.311, Finance (CMPC) Department, dated 31.12.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
