ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order of the respondent in Memo No.3143/A1/2017 dated 01.02.2017, quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to return forthwith the petitioner's original driving license.

2. Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.Admittedly, the petitioner has suffered punishment of suspension for a period of six months by impugned order dated 01.02.2017. The petitioner has got the right of appeal within thirty days from the date of receipt of the impugned suspension order as stated therein. Since the appeal time is not over, the petitioner is directed to prefer an appeal within the time prescribed and if any such appeal is filed within time, the authority concerned shall consider the same and pass orders within a period of seven working days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
