Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to restore the earlier notification dated 10.05.2019 with regard to the recruitment notification for the post of Multi Tasking Staff, Postman, Mail Guard, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant and allow applicants to write the exam in local languages as published under the provision of Recruitment Rules where Hindi is not a local language.

(Order of the Court was made by M.Sathyanarayanan, J.) When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner stated that in the light of the communication dated 5.8.2019 as well as the letter dated 30.7.2019, the petitioner may be permitted to withdraw this writ petition. An endorsement has also been made to the said effect. Recording the said endorsement, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The communication dated 5.8.2019 is taken on file and recorded. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
