: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to receive the House Tax and issue the House Tax Receipt in favour of the petitioner for his House based on the petitioner's representation, dated 29.11.2016 Achankuttam Village, V.K.Puthur Taluk, Tirunelveli District for an extent of 15 cents in Survey No.197/1B within a time period to be stipulated by this Court.

*********** The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition seeking for issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to receive the House Tax and issue the House Tax Receipt in favour of the petitioner based on his representation, dated 29.11.2016.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he purchased 15 cents of land in Survey No.197/1B by way of registered sale deed, dated 07.10.2009. Thereafter, he applied for planning permission, which is also granted in the year 2011.

3.The petitioner would states that in pursuance of issuance of planning permission, he constructed the house and residing there till date. However, the third respondent refused to receive the House Tax and hence, he sent a representation on 29.11.2016. Since no action was taken till today, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Heard Mr.M.Vanniaraja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganandhan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 5.Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.11.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing opportunity to the necessary parties.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
