Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction the educational loan of Rs.4 00 000/- applied for petitioner's son namely Mr.Prakash.R pursuing B.E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) Course (hostler) for the academic period of 2016-2020 in SNS College of Technology Coimbatore641035 on the basis of petitioner's educational loan application form and representation dated 31.01.2017 within a stipulated time. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction educational loan of Rs.4 lakhs for her son viz., R.Prakash pursuing B.E. Course in SNS College of Technology, Coimbatore.

2.After notice in this writ petition, the matter is taken up today for further hearing.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent bank has issued a communication on 13.02.2017 stating that the petitioner's application was not rejected and the bank will sanction the loan subject to fulfilling of their norms. 4.The learned counsel for the respondent bank reiterated the very same contention.

5.Recording the above said submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent bank to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of educational loan for her son and pass appropriate orders by sanctioning the loan, if the petitioner fulfills the norms of the bank. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent bank within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
