Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 25.02.2017 at night in connection with "Masi Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Kaathandeswari Kovil at Amman Kalaiyarangam, Kammalapatti Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programme of Adalpadal in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 25.01.2017 a representation has been given to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the following https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Sedapatti Police Station, Madurai District is directed to look into the representation dated 25.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
