Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was an aspirant for the post of District Educational Officer (DEO) in Tamil Nadu School Education service. Cut off mark was 165 for the category of BC general candidates. The petitioner is a BC general category. He secured only 148.50. Since he did not get the requisite cut off marks he was not selected.
