ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to lay Tar road and to provide drinking water facilities to the Keelaparaipatti Village, Gurumalai Panchayat, Kovilpatti Taluk, Tuticorin District by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. It is the case of the petitioner that there are two hundred families are residing in the Keelaparaipatti Village and

there is no road and water facility available for the said village. Due to the same, the school going children and the people living in that area have to walk several kilometres to their schools and respective places. In this regard, the petitioner, who is the Ward member of that locality, has given a representation to the respondents on 15.02.2016. Since no steps have been taken on the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. In view of the above, we direct the respondents, namely, the 1st respondent District Collector, Tuticorin District, to take steps on the representation given by the petitioner dated 15.02.2016 and pass appropriate orders within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
