ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for Mandamus to direct the third respondent to issue legal heir certificate for the deceased petitioner's husband by adding the name of the petitioner's adopted daughter, namely, Nisha by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 02.06.2025.
2. The petitioner appears to be the wife of the Late. Sundararajan, who died on 12.04.2024. While issuing the legal heirship certificate, the name of the petitioner's adopted daughter namely Nisha was not included. Therefore, the petitioner filed an application to include the name of her adopted daughter. However, the third respondent has rejected the same. The petitioner filed a fresh application, which was again rejected by the third respondent on 07.05.2024. It appears that as against one of the rejections, the petitioner filed revision before the second respondent,. There is also a suit pending against her brother-in-law, for partition of property in O.S.No.139 of 2024. 2/5
3. I have considered the arguments advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
4. The petitioner is directed to produce necessary documents that may be required for including the name of the petitioner's adopted daughter, namely, Nisha in the legal heirship certificate. The respondents shall consider and pass orders thereafter. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
