O R D E R

The petitioners have filed this Criminal Original Petition, with a grievance that on the complaint of first petitioner's wife, the respondent police is harassing them.

2. Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the respondents confirmed that the wife of the first petitioner has lodged a complaint and the same has been treated as a petition enquiry. Since it is reported that there is a matrimonial dispute between the first petitioner and his wife, the respondent police has proposed to refer the complaint of the first petitioner's wife to the Social Welfare Officer. 3.Since there is a matrimonial dispute between the first petitioner and the third respondent, the respondent police is directed to forward the complaint of the third respondent to the Social Welfare Officer. The petitioners shall appear before the Social Welfare Officer and to co-operate for the enquiry. Depending upon the report of the Social Welfare Officer, the respondent police shall proceed further either to register a case or to close the complaint. 2/4

4.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
