Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petition mentioned property originally stood in the name of one Lakshmi. The petitioner and her sister-in-law Senthil Kanni entered into a sale agreement with her. Since she did not come forward to execute the sale deed, the petitioner filed O.S.No.157 of 2005 on the file of the Sub Court, Trichy, for specific performance. It was decreed on 31.07.2007. Lakshmi filed A.S.No.148 of 2009 on the file of the I Additional District Judge, Thiruchirappalli. The first appeal was dismissed on 22.02.2012. The petitioner stated in her affidavit that the said decree has become final. An unsuccessful Lakshmi gracefully came forward and executed the sale deed dated 12.10.2012 in favour of the writ petitioner 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.15728 OF 2021 and her sister-in-law. The petitioner and her sister-in-law are in possession and enjoyment of the petition mentioned property.

3. In these circumstances, there cannot be any objection for effecting mutation. The third respondent is directed to effect mutation and grant joint patta in favour of the petitioner and her sister-in-law Senthil Kanni forthwith and without any delay.
