ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's minor son, namely, Sivabalan, S/o.Sadasivam, aged about 17 years, before this Court and hand over the custody.
2. The case of the petitioner is that his son was admitted in Sastra University for B.Tech course and that on 06.05.2025, the petitioner received a phone call from the College Management stating that his son was missing from the hostel. The petitioner had lodged a complaint before the second respondent with regard to missing of his son and a case in Crime No.193/2025 was registered for boy missing. However, since no action has been taken by the respondents for finding the whereabouts of the petitioner's son, he has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition before this Court.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's son was traced at SIPCOT, Ulundurpet and he was secured and produced before this Court today.
4. We enquired the missing boy. He informed that he was studying B.Tech in Sastra University and due to pressure on account of studies, he had left the hostel without informing anybody. He further stated that he was earlier employed in the workshop in Chennai and later, he was employed in the workshop in Ulundurpet and that he was secured by the Police. He expressed his willingness to go along with his father, the petitioner herein.
