O R D E R

The present petition is filed for writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent / Tahsildar to conduct the Kaliamman Temple Festival, Sadaiyampatti, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District to be held on 10.06.2025 to 12.06.2025 based on the resolution dated 13.01.2025 without giving the 5th respondent for taking charge of the said Festival. To that effect, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 02.06.2025.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that, the 5th respondent was acting as Kudumban until the Kumbabishekam of the Kaliamman Temple. Now, the Festival is being conducted in the said Temple, which is yearly Festival. In such Festival, the 5th respondent cannot act as Kudumban. Page No. 2 of 4

However, a resolution was passed only for conducting Kumbabhisekam and there is no Peace Committee Meeting for the present Festival. Therefore, the respondents no.3 and 4 shall jointly convene a Peace Committee Meeting for conduct of the Temple Festival, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the 5th respondents or to any other interested parties. Based on the out come or resolution of the Peace Committee Meeting, the parties shall act accordingly. If needed, police protection may be granted for conducting the Temple Festival.
